Land and Sea:
New Work by Matthew Bielen and Tia Scalcione
The show will be on view through July 10. This two-person exhibition brings together two distinct yet deeply connected artistic voices. Bielen works works abstractly and Scalcione renders landscapes from observation. Together, they offer a compelling conversation between grounded form and elemental force. Land and Sea invites viewers to experience imagery of Provincetown’s coast as both anchor and horizon.
Matthew Bielen
Matthew’s paintings are influenced by his love of the ocean, and the play between organic forms, and human’s ability to sculpt them. Growing up, his family would go to the beach in New Hampshire, where the New England beach weather was far more tempestuous than other places.

Tia Scalcione
Tia Scalcione captures the essence of place through careful, observational rendering, grounding her work in the textures and tones of the real world. Her landscapes are both intimate and expansive, offering viewers a still, attentive gaze into the rhythms of natural environments.
