NAYA BRICHER

Naya Bricher’s paintings are rooted in the lush terrain of everyday abundance: inflatable flamingos, glossy cakes, bright plastic toys, and thrift shop finds. Her works honor the liveliness of the object-filled life, and of celebrate the volume of images and experiences that crowd our waking and dreaming minds. Working primarily in oil paint, Naya’s works possess a saturation of color palette and intensity of disparate layered images and textures that accumulate into a coherent whole.

Raised in South Kent, Connecticut, and now living year-round in Provincetown, Naya studied at Smith College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors in Studio Art. She has had residencies at The Vermont Studio Center and The Peaked Hill Trust Dune Shacks. She maintains a studio at The Fine Arts Work Center, where she serves as their Administrative Director.
