I’m Paul Rizzo, a painter and sketchbook keeper based in Provincetown, Massachusetts. I’m a process painter and nostalgia is involved, not only for a time I experienced but also those i have not lived through, old Hollywood and the culture, gay porn, music and fashion of the late 70s and early 80s. i have a lot of obsessions, influences, and inspirationsm, inluding the muppets, rainbows, text, dreamhouses, mixed media collage, hypothetical magazine covers, movies, plaid, portraiture, queer still life, play, exploration, and a general sense of curiosity.
